So we took a table close to the bar and waited until a waitress finally came and took our drink order. After a minute or two, the bartender literally yelled across the restaurant that she didn't know how to make our drink.
My wife and I decided to give Greenmill another chance after a year hiatus. I am happy to say that there is new management which made all the difference. Ben Fedor, the General Manager, has really done wonders here. I applaud him for turning this place around. He actually was the one who greeted us and made us feel very welcome from the get go. Our server, Justin, did an amazing job as well. He had a nice energy about him. He gave us the impression that he was actually excited to have us there to a degree that it felt like we were at his home and he was hosting a dinner party if that makes sense. He was attentive but gave us space. Food was good. We had the buy 2 pasta meals, get a free bottle of wine deal which was really nice. It was a nice touch being able to bring the leftover wine home. Ben also checked up on us to make sure everything was going well. You can tell that he truly wants to see this place succeed. The entire staff actually looked like they enjoyed working there which was a nice feeling. Even the bus boy was a nice young man that helped clean our table for us. After this lovely experience, my wife and I finally feel like we can make this our regular go-to spot like it once was. Thank you Green Mill for making the necessary changes to ensure the dinner experience is how it should be.
We didn't have a ton of time so we only came in for a drink or two. We walked up to the bar and the bartender didn't acknowledge us in any sense. No hello. No be right with you. We couldn't sit at the bar because a bunch of kids (probably 4 years or younger) were at the bar coloring while their parents drank. We had enough room to stand at the edge of the bar to orded a quick pint. However, Jessica (I think her name was) snapped at us to "go sit down" because apparently we couldn't stand there?
Needless to say, will not be going back.
I was going to tell it to our server but she never came back after our original order. So I walked up to the bar to tell Jessica what was in the drink. For a second time, i waited multiple minutes while she looked at me but doesn't say a thing. I stood for couple of minutes while waiting for her to make other drinks. Then when she started to make my drink, still without acknowledging me, I decided to just walk back to my table.
Ben is a stand up manager he knows how to run a restaurant and take care of the customers . Hands down first class. Pizza is the best in the area. Thanks for treating me like a good customer I am happy to spend my money here . Wish he worked for my company every business needs a guy like that handling things
This was one of the worst experiences I have had in quite some time. Let's do a break down of our short visit.
By far the best service I’ve had in a restaurant. Super friendly staff and always attentive to our needs. We’ve had Cole multiple times and he has never been a disappointment! Will definitely be making more visits in the future!!
We had a great experience when we visited last week. My husband and I came in with our daughter who was pretty hungry. While we waited for a table, the host brought us bread to snack on, which was a complete life-saver! We have always had a great experience with management, who is visible and checking in on how the food and atmosphere is. Our waitress was a complete delight - it turned out to be such a great evening, when it could have gone a completely different direction with a hungry child!
