Nice place to shop for fresh produce. They have huge selection and prices are decent.
Best fried chicken out of all the Cubs in the area. Used to live close. Now I have to drive a bit but it is worth it.
Thanks, Cub, for everything!
I’m very upset that I even had to give ONE star just to leave a review. I will NEVER go back to this store again which is pretty inconvenient as it is the closest grocery store to my home. 10/24 my daughter (10yrs old) rode her bike to Cub to get some food from the hot food area, she then came back home shaking and crying because two of the Cub foods employees (one male) chased her out of the store accusing her of stealing a watermelon. Mind you all Cub plastic bags are clear and light enough to where you can see a full fledge watermelon if she had one in the bag. I shop here almost DAILY and know for a fact that over the course of 5yrs of me living in this neighborhood I’m sure the staff has seen me and my children in the store. Then to chase a child out of the store and falsely accuse her of stealing an entire watermelon was totally unacceptable ESPECIALLY since I gave her my debit card to pay for everything purchased. I then went back to the store and the store manager (some guy) stood there and made excuse after excuse for his employees chasing my daughter out of the store. I mean don’t you have to at least LOOK like you stole, or actually be SEEN stealing something or was it just convienient to accuse the African American girl of stealing the watermelon because we’re the only ones who eat watermelon right? I am so hurt an disappointed with the results of this situation. I felt comfort enough to send my daughter there thinking it’s a safe family store, when come to find out it’s the total opposite! It’s a place where if something gets stolen they immediately point the finger at the people of color as opposed to finding the person that was really stealing! Then to top it all off as I was speaking to the store manager, another child (of color) walked up to me saying they accused her of stealing the watermelon first! Which VERIFIED nobody else was questioned other than ppl of color. I wouldn’t send my child back to that store if a hurricane was about to hit an it was the only grocery store left to get food and water. I am deeply hurt and disappointed that my daughter had to come home feeling like there was a possibility that she could’ve gotten in trouble for something she didn’t do! And is it normal procedure for regular cashiers to chase kids out of the store to confront them? Wasn’t there security who in that situation have proper training to deal with situations like that? I will not stop with this review. I will be calling corporate as well as writing a letter to the president of the company to let them know just what type of circus is being ran at this Lakeville Cub location. I am soooo disappointed. They have surely lost my business as well as everyone I know. I will be reposting this on Facebook as well as every other social media outlet just to give a clear idea of what to expect from Cub Foods
I was always stuck on one grocery store, because I knew it so well, but my husband encouraged me to try this Cub Foods because it was closer to our home and he thought prices were potentially better. When the other store's pharmacy stopped accepting our insurance and Cub did, that sealed the deal for me. I was on regular medications and supplements for cancer. Not only have the Cub workers been VERY helpful all around, but the pharmacists and technicians impressed me with their prompt, courteous attention and always made sure my (complicated) medicinal needs were met on time! Several weeks after completing treatment, I was doing my usual shopping, and meandered past the pharmacy counter to joke that I did NOT need anything filled that day (hehe!) and they cheered and showed me gray ribbons attached to their coats, thanking me for raising awareness for brain cancer. I mean, WOW. *tears*
Clean and organized. Good quality produce and fair prices.
